Monday of the 4th week of Lent
Theme: Blessed assurance
In our 1st reading today from the prophet Isaiah, he presents to us a wonderful message of hope and the promises of God for his people. It is a message of great joy and rejoicing. An assurance from God that the narratives of our life is changed, there shall be no more sorry and pain in our midst. Our sorrows and pains will be no more, and there will be rejoicing and gladness in our land. This is a wonderful promise that is coming from God and will surely be fulfilled in our lives. He is ever faithful to his promises and never disappoints all those who trust in him. Let us do all within our power to live like true children of God that we are called to be, and the promises of God will continue to bear good fruits in our life.
The response to our psalm today, acknowledges the faithfulness of God among his people. He continues to use any given opportunity to uplift us and show us the depth of his love for us. That is why we must continue to make honest and sincere effort not to lose sight of God’s efforts to make us true ambassadors of Christ. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we should emulate the action of Jesus in today’s gospel reading. We must never allow the challenges confronting us to determine the trend of happenings in our life. Today, Jesus moved from rejection to acceptance and continued to bring healing and life to all those who encountered him. This is a wonderful message for you and I today from Jesus himself; the challenges and difficulties of life should not be allowed to change us and the narrative of our life. The most important thing is our disposition towards what happens to us at different times in our life. We must never give up and allow events and situations in our life to break us up. Just do your best, be prayerful and trust in God. He will definitely fulfil his promises in your life. He never fails or disappoints all those who trust in him.
May God grant us the grace to remain steadfast in faith at all times. Peace be with you.
